Nudge
Last updated 10 October 2026
Nudge adds follow-up reminders, send later and honest email tracking to Gmail. It never reads your mailbox through Google’s APIs.
Stays in your browser
Follow-ups, templates, scheduled emails and settings are stored in your browser.
Replies are detected from the Gmail page you have open, and from Gmail’s inbox feed read by your browser with your own Gmail session. None of this is sent to us.
Sent to our server
Tracking (only for emails you turn it on for): a random tracking id and the links in that email. When it is opened or a link is clicked we record the time, which link, a coarse client type (for example “Gmail image proxy”, “Outlook” or “Security scanner”), whether it looked like a scanner and the country. IP addresses are used to classify the event and are not stored. Tracking data is deleted after 12 months, or immediately when you press “Delete all my tracking data” in settings.
Server send-later (optional, Pro): if you connect your Gmail account, we store an encrypted Google refresh token for the send-only permission and your email address, and each scheduled email (encrypted) until it is sent; its content is cleared 7 days after sending.
Like every extension we make: your install id, your licence if you have one, usage counts for plan limits, and optional “Help improve” data if you turn it on. See the main privacy policy.
Other services
Google (Gmail API): Sends the emails you schedule while Chrome is closed (send-only permission).
Google permissions
Asked for only when you use the feature, and used only for it:
gmail.send: Server send-later: sends the emails you scheduled, at the time you chose. Nudge cannot read, change or delete your email.
openid, email: Shows which Gmail account is connected.
Nudge’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We don’t use Google user data for advertising, don’t sell it, don’t let people read it except with your consent, for security or where the law requires, and don’t use it to train AI models.
Your choices
Uninstalling removes everything the extension stored in your browser. To have the data on our server deleted, email us.
We never sell your data or use it for advertising. Nudge follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
